The College of the Canyons Athletics department is inviting all veterans and military personnel to attend Saturday’s Cougar football game free of charge.
The Cougars (7-2, 3-1) will host Bakersfield College (7-2, 3-1) with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12.
All veterans and military personnel — active duty, reserve duty, retired — who appear in uniform or present a valid form of identification will be admitted to the game free of charge.
In addition, fans will be treated to a special Veterans Day half time performance provided by the California Flyers All Stars youth cheerleading organization.
General admission tickets are $5. Kids 10 and under are free.
“We would like to show our appreciation to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line and sacrifice so much to serve and protect this nation,” said COC head football coach Ted Iacenda. “The Cougar football program appreciates each and every one of you.”
As a reminder to fans unable to attend Saturday’s game, all 2017 COC football home games will be live streamed via a partnership with SoCalCollegeSports.com. Click here to view Saturday’s broadcast.
