College of the Canyons has been named the No. 14 seed and will travel to face No. 3 San Diego Mesa College at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in a CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs first round match.

COC finished the regular season 15-7 overall with a record of 10-2 in conference play to finish runner-up in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division. Bakersfield College (20-2, 12-0) won the conference title.
Canyons is playing in the postseason for a seventh straight season, with four of those appearances coming under current head coach Clay Timmons. The 2019 postseason bracket once again matches COC and San Diego Mesa, setting up a rematch from the 2018 SoCal Regionals.
The Olympians defeated COC 3-2 (28-26, 25-19, 19-25, 18-25, 15-7) to end the Cougars’ season a year ago.
San Diego Mesa (23-5, 14-2) finished tied with Grossmont College (24-3, 14-2) as co-champions of the Pacific Coast Conference after winning three of its final four games.
The winner of Tuesday’s match will advance to face the winner between No. 6 Mira Costa (19-5) and No. 11 Cypress College (15-7) on Saturday, Nov. 30 in second round playoff action.
