Newhall: Crime Report for the Week of June 6, 2016
The following crimes were reported last week:

06/06/16

Grand Theft – 23400 Newhall Ave

Persons unknown stole the victim’s vehicle, a white 1997 Honda Accord.

Commercial Burglary -23200 Lyons Ave

Unknown persons forced entry into the business and stole miscellaneous items.

Petty Theft – 24100 Lyons Ave.

An unknown person entered the business and selected an energy drink and concealed it on his person. The suspect then exited the location making no attempts to pay.

Petty Theft – 24900 Newhall Ave.

Persons unknown cut the metal bike chain from the stole the victim’s bicycle (“Haro” Z24 “BMX” one speed blk frame white trim) from the bicycle rack.

Attempted Burglary -25100 Atwood Blvd.

Persons unknown attempted to force entry into the victim’s vehicle by breaking off the driver’s side door handle. Entry was no made into the vehicle.

Residential Burglary – 23500 Canerwell St.

Persons unknown entered the victim‘s residence by unknown means and stole the victim’s “PlayStation 4” black in color. There were no signs of forced entry.

06/08/16

Residential Burglary – 24700 Fourl Rd.

Persons unknown forced entry into the victim’s residence by prying open a window and stole items including miscellaneous jewelry and a toiletry bag containing cosmetics. The master bedroom and bathroom were ransacked.

06/09/16

Residential Burglary – 23400 Wildwood Canyon Rd.

Persons unknown pried off several window screens but did not make entry into the location.

Reminder about the Fourth of July

As the Fourth of July weekend approaches, as a reminder, it is unlawful for any person to handle, give away, sell, offer for sale, solicit the sale of, manufacture, possess, purchase, use, ignite, explode, fire, or otherwise discharge any fireworks within the city of Santa Clarita according to Section 9.60.030 SCMC. Fireworks may cause burns, injuries and fires. Violators can be held responsible for damages, as well as having to pay a fine and/or go to jail.
