Castaic/Val Verde: Crime Report for the week of May 23, 2016
The following crimes were reported last week:

5/25/16

Vehicle Burglary- 27000 block of Wakefield Road.

The victim reported the passenger door to his vehicle pried open. Numerous power tools and hand tools were taken.

Vehicle Burglary- 31000 block of Castaic Road.

The victim reported the passenger side window shattered and numerous personal items taken.

5/27/16

Residential Burglary- 28000 block of Victoria Road.

The victim reported his rear sliding door broken and his house ransacked. It was unsure at the time of the report what was taken.

Attempt Theft- 28000 block of Hasley Canyon.

The victim reported several heavy metal copper pipes moved across the construction site towards a hole cut in the perimeter fence. The items were not taken.

5/28/16

Petty Theft- 31000 block of Castaic Road.

A male suspect took several items from the store and walked out without paying. When confronted outside by a witness, the suspect dropped the items and ran.

Petty Theft- 29000 block of The Old Road.

A male suspect took a case of “Red Bull” and ran outside the store to a waiting vehicle.

5/28/16

Vehicle Burglary- 31000 block of Bobcat Way.

The victim reported a “tablet” device and numerous personal items stolen from his work vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.

5/29/16

Vehicle Burglary- 31000 block of Castaic Road.

The victim reported a bag containing personal items stolen from their vehicle. The rear passenger window was smashed.

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
