Josh McDowell

Crossroads Community Church is hosting Josh D. McDowell on Sunday, Oct. 4. Josh will be speaking at all three Crossroads campuses at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The Sunday will kick off a month long seminar called a “Confident Faith” at Crossroads Community Church. Josh will address the “Evidence for the Deity of Jesus.” Josh D McDowell is a trailblazer for truth and relationships, he has been at the forefront of cultural trends and ground- breaking ministry for over five decades.

Josh shares the essentials of the Christian faith in everyday language so that youth, families, churches, leaders and individuals of all ages are prepared for the life of faith and the work of the ministry. This included leveraging resources based on years of experiences, new technologies and strategic partnerships.

Since 1961, Josh has delivered more than 27,000 talks to over 25,000,000 people in 125 countries. He is the author or co-author of 140 books, including More Than a Carpenter and New Evidence That Demands a Verdict, recognized by World Magazine as one of the top 40 books of the twentieth century. Josh’s books are available in over 100 different languages.

Josh and his wife, Dottie, are quick to acknowledge that after their love for the Lord, family is their greatest joy and top priority. They have been married for 42 years and have four wonderful children and eight beloved grandchildren. Josh McDowell Ministry is a division of Cru (the U.S. division of Campus Crusade for Christ International).

Mark Phillips

Dr. Mark Phillips will teach the remaining Confident Faith seminars. Once a biochemist, Dr. Phillips was a skeptic who wanted to know the truth. He set out to disprove the Bible, but found the love of God was too great to escape. The scientific rationale for a Creator and the veracity of the Bible were too strong to deny. In fact, many findings from his efforts to disprove the Bible later became part of his doctoral dissertation.

Dr. Phillips holds the following degrees: BS, Biology/Chemistry, Southwestern University –M.Th. Theology, South African Theological Seminary – Ph.D, Biblical Studies/Theology, Louisiana Baptist University – GD, Theology, Oxford University, England.
