Los Angeles Dodgers logoThe Los Angeles Dodgers lost their second straight game for the first time since July 20-21 against the Braves and dropped their first series since June 5-7 against the Nationals following a 3-2 defeat by the Milwaukee Brewers at Dodger Stadium Sunday.

Following an off day, the Dodgers will begin a seven-game road trip to Arizona and San Diego Tuesday.

On Sunday the Brewers won their second consecutive game and finished their nine-game road trip to Colorado (2-1), San Francisco (1-2) and Los Angeles (2-1) going 5-4.

Milwaukee avoided losing their third consecutive season series to Los Angeles with the victory today and evened the season series against the Dodgers this year 3-3.

DODGER NOTES:
• In his 26th start of the season and his fourth start as a Dodger, Yu Darvish allowed three runs on six hits in 5.0 innings with seven strikeouts and recorded his 10th loss of the season. In his four starts with Los Angeles, Darvish has gone 2-1 with a 3.13 ERA (8 ER/23.0 IP) and has struck out 29 batters against seven walks, while holding hitters to a .256 average.

• Chase Utley broke up the no-hitter with a pinch-hit single in the sixth inning and later scored on an RBI single by Corey Seager, who extended his season-high hitting streak to 15 games. During the run, which started on Aug. 10, Seager is batting .348 (23-for-66) with five runs, one double and 10 RBI along with a .362 OBP.

• Justin Turner trimmed the deficit to 3-2 in the sixth inning with an RBI double and finished the day going 1-for-3 with one walk. In his last 34 games at home since May 18, he has posted a .316/.433/.579 with 21 runs, six doubles, eight home runs, 21 RBI and three stolen bases, while drawing 23 walks against 14 strikeouts.

BREWERS NOTES:
• In his 27th start of the season, Jimmy Nelson allowed just two runs on four hits in 6.2 innings, while striking out six against two walks on 102 pitches to pick up his 10th victory of the season. In 10 starts during the day this season, Nelson has gone 5-2 with a 2.32 ERA (17 ER/66.0 IP) and has struck out 74 against 20 walks in 66.0 innings.

• Hernan Pérez stroked his 13th home run of the season with a solo shot to left center field in the third inning. In 54 games on the road this season, Perez is hitting .275 (52-for-189) with 21 runs, six doubles, one triple, six home runs and 18 RBI.

• Domingo Santana, who went 2-for-4 in today’s contest, knocked in a run with an RBI single in the third inning to push the Brewers lead to 3-0. In his last nine games on the road, Santana is batting .355 (11-for-31) with five runs, two doubles, two home runs and four RBI along with a 1.072 OPS.

• In his 62nd appearance of the year, Corey Knebel picked up his 29th save of the season, as he tossed a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts. On the season, Knebel has gone 1-2 and has posted a 1.31 ERA (9 ER/61.2 IP), while limiting the opposition to a .168/.288/.248 slashline.
