An incident of road rage got out of hand Friday afternoon when a man armed with a crowbar expressed himself in the parking lot at Home Depot in Canyon Country.
Deputies were called at approximately 12:15 p.m. and the initial report was a man with a knife, but Lt. Joseph Efflandt said that the weapon was actually a crowbar.
The man allegedly got into an altercation with another driver in the parking lot of Home Depot and hit the victim with the crowbar, then drove out to Soledad Canyon Road, where he struck another vehicle.
Efflandt said that deputies were able to stop the suspect in the parking lot of Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he was detained. One victim of the noontime violence was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
