Gail Pinsker
Gail Pinsker, Hart School District public relations officer, has announced she has tendered her resignation from the Hart School District and has accepted the position of community and public relations officer for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Her resignation is effective Jan. 9, 2015 and she will start with SMMUSD on Jan. 12, 2015
“As a 27-year resident of the Santa Clarita Valley my heart is with the community and the Hart School District, however, I could not pass up this amazing professional opportunity,” Pinsker said.
Pinsker has worked in her capacity at the Hart District for more than four years and handles public relations, media relations, social media and other projects for the school district. She has been a public relations and marketing professional, involved community member and public education advocate since moving to Valencia in 1987.
“I have enjoyed working with such a dedicated team of professionals including our school board, administrators and teachers, who all want the best for kids,” Pinsker said. “I will miss my involvement in the community in various nonprofit capacities and as an active member of the SCV Chamber and VIA, and I will miss everyone I work with.”
Pinsker serves on both the WiSH Education Foundation board and the SCV Education Foundation board and chairs the annual Principal for a Day event for the SCVEF, which is on Feb. 6, 2015. She has been involved in this event for more than 20 years and will continue on as event chair for this year. (Registration is open HERE.)
The Santa Monica – Malibu School District is a K-12 school district serving nearly 12,000 students in the two cities it is named for.
“I’m looking forward to my new challenge at another high-performing district and expect to still continue to attend some of my favorite local charity events,” Pinsker said.
The Hart District is expected to post the open position of Public Relations Officer early the week of Dec. 15, 2014. Refer to the website for Job Opportunities.
