Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital has added several new features to its website including health risk assessments, a digital health library, podcasts and an electronic version of the It’s Your Health magazine.

All these can be accessed through the hospital’s website at henrymayo.com.

Health Risk Assessments

Thirty-five percent of U.S. adults say that at one time or another they have gone online specifically to try to find information about what medical condition they or someone else might have. Henry Mayo’s new free online personal health profilers can help people determine their risk of heart disease, peripheral artery disease and diabetes.

The evidence-based profilers provide a comprehensive health risk assessment by analyzing health information provided by you (the user). By answering a concise series of questions related to lifestyle, family history, and health, you can learn if you are at risk of developing any of these conditions. The goal is to identify at-risk individuals and connect them with healthcare professionals. After the assessment, you can print out a personalized summary report of risk factors, tips to reduce risks, and actionable next steps.

Health Library

Henry Mayo’s health library contains an extensive database of health topics, including health conditions, wellness and prevention, recipes, and the latest health news.

It’s Your Health Radio and Magazine

Tune in to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s new podcast program—It’s Your Health Radio–where you can listen to Henry Mayo doctors and other healthcare professionals discuss topics ranging from food poisoning to medication management. The ten-minute podcasts can be downloaded from the Henrymay.com website or through iTunes or iHeartRADIO.
