The Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation has added three new members to the board of directors — Don Kimball, community president at FivePoint; Tracy Lawrence, MD, director of Emergency Services, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital; and Robert Stern, CPA, Stern, Kory, Morgan & Sreden.

Don Kimball
Don Kimball, Community President for FivePoint
Don Kimball is the community president, Newhall Ranch, charged with overseeing development of Newhall Ranch for FivePoint Holdings, LLC. Kimball, who began his career as a CPA, has been part of the management team for Newhall Ranch and its first phase, Valencia, for more than 30 years.
Since 2006, Kimball served as a board member and is the immediate past chairman of the board of directors of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and is active in several board committees at the hospital.
Robert Stern
Robert Stern, CPA, Stern, Kory, Sreden & Morgan (Board Treasurer)
A graduate of California State University, Northridge, Stern holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Joining Stern, Kory, Sreden & Morgan in 1986, he continued to pursue his education and received his Certified Public Accountant license in 1995.
Stern became an SKSM shareholder in 1999. Stern specializes in tax preparation, developing tax strategies, financial services, and retirement planning.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Tracy “Bud” Lawrence
Tracy L. Lawrence, MD, Director of Emergency Services, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
Tracy “Bud” Lawrence is a graduate of UCLA and attended Keck USC School of Medicine. He began his career at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in 2003 as an attending emergency medicine physician.
Lawrence was very involved in many Emergency Department quality-related projects early on and was quickly appointed Emergency Department director of risk management. Currently the director of the Emergency Department, Lawrence is also the owner of Henry Mayo Urgent Care Center.
A few members have recently retired their terms on the foundation board. Robert Benjamin is leaving the Foundation Board but will continue to serve on the Hospital Board. He is also a finance committee member. He previously served as co-chair for the Annual Frontier Toyota/Henry Mayo “Drive Safe” Golf Classic for years, and as co-chair of the capital campaign for the patient tower.
David Henry, MD, served as director of Emergency Medicine at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and was also a co-chair of the physician giving campaign for the patient tower. Ron Morgan served as Foundation Board treasurer and has also served on the audit committee.
“We are so grateful for the years of leadership our retiring foundation board members Bob Benjamin, David Henry, and Ron Morgan have provided the hospital and foundation,” Lauffer said. “We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
