June 14: ARTree – Figure Drawing at ARTree Community Arts Center
Time: 6:00 p.m.

Are you an artist frustrated with the lack of opportunities to draw in Santa Clarita? Come to ARTree Community Arts Center for a chance to really explore your creative potential using a live model. Just drop in and bring a pencil and paper.

Every 1st, 2nd and 3rd Thursdays of the month, with some additional dates throughout the year.

June 14: Arts Commission at Santa Clarita City Hall
Time: 6:30 p.m.

The five-member Arts Commission meets on the second Thursday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

Members of the public wishing to address the commission may do so by completing a speaker’s slip upon arrival at the meeting. There is a three-minute time limit per person.

Time: 7:00 p.m.

Audiences will enjoy a FREE evening of music of all genres at Note by Note, a musical showcase presented by Valencia Auto Center. Bands, duos and soloists will play their blend of music for your listening pleasure. Come enjoy a wide range of music styles, including rock, folk, Celtic, Americana, Blues, Jazz, Country, experimental, Western and more!

ESCAPE to London with Oliver, the Artful Dodger, and all of the Pick-Pocket kids! Nothing works on the stage like a well-crafted tale based on the Dickens novel. This well-known musical is sure to keep you entertained. Some of the outstanding musical numbers include “Food,” “Glorious Food,” “I’d Do Anything,” “Where is Love,” “Consider Yourself,” and “Oom-Pah-Pah!” This production features 300 youth and teens from the Santa Clarita Valley who will definitely “cheer you up!” We are certain you will know a few of them!

June 15: Valencia Jazz & Blues Summer Concert Series at Downtown Valencia Town Center Drive, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency
Time: 7:00 p.m.

The sounds of live Jazz and Blues bands will once again fill Town Center Drive in Valencia. The Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series will return for the 19th year, once again featuring regional, national and international entertainers in a family friendly, quaint street party setting, offering activities for adults and children. In addition to the extraordinary sounds offered from some of the top Jazz and Blues recording artist in the world, the scheduled series will bring a variety of activities for the entire family as well as a variety of food and beverages, including wine and beer for the adults. No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed. Admission is free.

The exciting schedule of featured artists appearing includes:
