The city of Santa Clarita will be the host city for the San Fernando Valley Council of Governments’ 2018 Valley Mobility Workshop at the Newhall Community Center on Thursday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“As a member of the Board of Directors representing the city of Santa Clarita, I am happy to invite you to this event where elected officials and representatives from Burbank, Glendale, San Fernando, parts of the city of Los Angeles, and Los Angeles County Supervisorial Districts 3 and 5 will be addressing regional transportation priorities,” said Santa Clarita Mayor Pro-Tem Marsha McLean.
The 2018 Mobility Workshop will focus on the SFVCOG’s adopted Mobility Priorities, which include addressing mobility gaps throughout the SFVCOG region – which includes Santa Clarita – and increasing service on the Metrolink – Antelope Valley and Ventura Lines.
“It is important for Santa Clarita to be represented well at this event, as many of the topics and discussions will be on mobility issues that directly affect the city,” McLean said.
