Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a man and woman from Long Beach on various charges including suspected identity theft and possession of counterfeit cash in Saugus Monday afternoon.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“How many driver’s licenses do you have?? A deputy conducted a traffic stop Monday afternoon near Soledad Canyon Road/Bouquet Canyon Road. He asked the male adult driver for his driver’s license to which the driver replied ‘he didn’t have one.’
“Then the deputy asked the female adult passenger if she had a driver’s license. She said she did, and handed a driver’s license to the deputy. He looked at the picture on the driver’s license, and then at the passenger. There was no resemblance.
“Then the deputy saw two other driver’s licenses in the vehicle. He inspected them and they didn’t match up to the passenger either. (It turned out she had her ‘real one’ in her purse.)
“The deputy also found burglary tools and counterfeit bills in the car.
“The Long Beach couple were arrested on various charges including ID Theft, Possession of Counterfeit Money, Driving on a Suspended License, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
“Not sure where these out-of-towners were planning on spending the night, but we found them a spot at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Jail.

They didn’t say drugs but she had to be high to hand a fake ID to the cops instead of the REAL one she had in her purse. Idiot.
Did you happen to have my drivers license. My wallet was stolen in Feb 2.?
