Segments of California State Road 126 aka Highway 126 will be closed next week for a grinding operation in the cities of Ventura and Santa Paula, California Department of Transportation District 7 officials announced Friday.
From Tuesday, Jan. 22 through Friday, Jan. 25, the following planned closures are scheduled between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.:
Westbound:
* Full closures of various segments between US 101 and Hallock Drive.
Ramps:
* Full closure of eastbound and westbound Tenth Street on-ramp;
* Full closure of eastbound Main Street off-ramp.
Closures may start and end later. All closures are weather permitt6ing and subject to change.
A signed detour will be posted for motorists who need to continue their commute on Highway 126. Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes or avoid the area.
Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap.
The closures are part of a road paving project on Highway 126 that stretches from U.S. 101 to Haun Creek Bridge.
