Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary in Newhall will be hosting the largest, free Dia De Los Muertos event in the Santa Clarita Valley, November 1 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The events at Eternal Valley will take place at the top of the hill, just outside the main office. Eternal Valley is located at 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, 91321. Parking will be directed by the LAPD Cadets with golf cart shuttles available from the parking area to the main event.

Dia De Los Muertos is a celebration practiced in Mexico, in other parts of Latin America and in parts of the United States as a way of bringing families and friends together to remember ancestors and celebrate life and culture. The Dia De Los Muertos Santa Clarita Valley will feature entertainment and activities throughout the day culminating in a service co-celebrated by Father Norm from St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Santa Clarita and Capitana Maria E. Soria.

The celebration will include performances by Ballet Folklorico, Danza Azteca, and a Mariachi band. A wide variety of children’s and family activities will be available throughout the afternoon and evening as well as booths with information from local businesses and health care organizations. Food trucks will provide food and beverages for sale.
