In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, Friends of the Acton Agua Dulce Library will present “Songs and Stories from Native America” at the library on Tuesday, November 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Storyteller, basket weaver and lifelong American Indian activist Kat High (Hupa) will join Redbird founder Corina Roberts (European/Osage/ Cherokee) for an exploration of traditional songs and stories of the Hupa, Osage, Cherokee, Pomo, Chumash, Tongva, and Algonquin tribes.
“Songs and Stories from Native America” provides an opportunity to see the world through another’s eyes through timeless stories and enjoy songs played on traditional instruments.
