Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger and her Trail Blazers will host her second annual trail ride at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas on Sunday, Oct. 21.
The pancake breakfast will start at 7 a.m., the trail ride will kick off at 9 a.m., and a barbecue with live country music will follow the ride.
Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Only service animals are welcome, and no stallions are allowed.
Tickets cost $30 without the cost of the horse rental. To rent a horse, call 760-245-7695.
Non-riders are encouraged to come to enjoy the food.
Barger’s Fifth District predecessor, Michael D. Antonovich, established the Antonovich Trail Dusters Ride in 1992, and she began carrying on the tradition in November 2017 with her inaugural ride at Castaic Lake under the Barger’s Trail Blazers banner.
The purpose of the ride is to promote public awareness about the county’s system of more than 200 miles of multi-use trails, which feature connections to other municipal trail systems including Santa Clarita’s and provides outdoor enthusiasts with a full range of recreational opportunities.
Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park is located at 120 E Vía Verde, San Dimas 91773. For a map, [click here].
