The Santa Clarita Valley community is continuing to help the Single Mothers Outreach nonprofit.
The Red Hearts Club of Santa Clarita Valley visited the nonprofit and gave SMO a check for $240.00, plus $1,000.00 worth of gift cards for members. Shown in the photo is Julie Jacobson from Red Hearts Club, also shown on either side of her from left: Marcela Zoch and Liz Weifferink, who both are SMO staff.
Next, The SCV Mommas Facebook Group, led by Alli Stone, dropped off a box of new lotions, toiletries and toiletries. In addition, the California Police Officer’s Association visited the SMO office with a large donation of canned goods and non-perishable goods. The association found out about SMO through one of the former members who is now involved with them – a great story of how SMO members pay it forward then they complete the programs.
SMO was also one of the beneficiaries of a promotion by Cobblestone Cottage where customers received a Christmas pouch bag in exchange for either a $10 donation or donating $10 or more in gift cards. The promotion raised $1,200 for Single Mothers Outreach.
“We are very grateful to everyone who has support us and our single parents recently,” said DaAnne Smith, executive director. “Our parents only receive assistance if they are in one of our support programs and we rely on our generous donors and partners for support. We will always welcome businesses running donation drives on our behalf and Santa Clarita groups like Red Hearts and SCV Mommas helping to donate goods and gift cards to our families.”

This is truly a much needed donation, the business and vendors who supported the SMO drive did a wonderful job collecting and delivering to SMO this generous drive that goes directly back to Single Mother’s in programs to learn how to better their life. And they really do make a difference, support, educate, counseling and so many services our community needs for our Single Moms.
