The city of Santa Clarita recently received recognition in the fDi American Cities of the Future 2017-2018 assessment. The city was ranked fourth in the “Small American City of the Future” category, out of more than 200 contending cities.
These results were published by the fDi Intelligence division of the Financial Times Magazine by reviewing key information about the City, including economic potential, business friendliness, human capital and lifestyle, cost effectiveness and connectivity.
This distinction endorses cities of all sizes throughout Northern America to potential business partners and foreign investors by publicizing their success and profitability.
“The City of Santa Clarita is honored to be named an ‘American City of the Future’”, commented Mayor Cameron Smyth. “The City prioritizes offering a healthy business environment and outstanding business partnerships in the community. The American City of the Future award shows that Santa Clarita is a great place to do business.”
As Los Angeles County’s most business friendly city, more than 6,000 businesses are based in Santa Clarita because of the community’s high quality of life, a variety of tax and incentive programs for companies of all sizes, and close proximity to most Southern California business centers.
