Whether it is our health, happiness or the ability to live in a community as special as ours, I believe many of our residents would agree that Santa Clarita is a place where wonderful memories have been made and a unique place to call home.

For clarification, the Veteran’s Center has been given a space within the Los Angeles County SCV Community Center for their staff desk and referral table at no cost to the SCV Veteran’s Collaborative with the understanding that they will provide referrals and support to Veterans and will have access to the County Community Center’s programming and open spaces as available. It should be noted that the SCV Community Center is a Los Angeles County facility funded by Los Angeles County with the assistance of Supervisor Barger’s office. The County SCV Community Center provides the children’s room, computer lab, social hall, meeting room, kitchen area, food bank and daily bread/produce give-away. These programs/spaces have been and will remain open to all members of the community including families, individuals, homeless persons, children, seniors, non-profit organizations, small businesses, other County departments as well as Veterans.
We are new to this site, having recently moved from Newhall, and seek to increase programming with the assistance of volunteers. We welcome input from the community as to their needs and hope to have a community advisory committee on board soon.
