An important focus of the Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA) is fostering a future in visual art.

SCAA’s mission is to promote art in the Santa Clarita Valley by “Making Visual Art visible.” The association’s community outreach programs help with this endeavor, and are always educational, child friendly and free to the general public. SCAA also awards scholarships to a range of art students in Santa Clarita – from high school to college.

The association’s members are assisted with making their art visible by taking advantage of the many exhibit opportunities it offers in Santa Clarita. SCAA’s emphasis is to be a support group devoted to the enrichment of each members experience through the visual arts.

SCAA’s annual scholarship competition will award three students who are graduating high school seniors planning to continue their education in the visual arts.

Awards will be $1,000, $750 and $500 given directly to the winners at the associations May meeting.
