Santa Clarita Valley’s school’s basketball players competed to be at the top at the Signal’s SCV Hoops Finale on Thursday. The away team won the girls game 55-37. Nicole Benz of Hart High School won the girls three-point contest. In the boys game, the home team won the game 79-77, Valencia’s Matt Justice won the boys three-point contest and was congratulated by former Laker Mike Penberthy. Zach Phipps of Saugus High School won the boys Slam Dunk contest.
