The Master’s College volleyball team has signed Chloe DeAngelis for the 2014-15 season.

The Scottsdale, Arizona, native will enter The Master’s College in the fall and is expected to make an immediate impact at the outside hitter position.

DeAngelis, a future graduate of Scottsdale Christian Academy, enters with an impressive resume that includes Offensive Player of the Year accolades, Varsity Freshman of the Year kudos, Player of the Year honors as a Sophomore, and Defensive Player of the year as a Junior.  Notably, the future Lady Mustang has consistently received All-Arizona honorable mention for the last three years.

“Right when I visited, I knew it was a good fit for me,” commented DeAngelis on her draw to The Master’s College. “I love the team and coaching staff, and I am so excited to compete at such a high level and improve greatly during my college career. I am looking forward to being on one of the top teams in the country and battling for the top spot!”

Parents Drue and Chantelle DeAngelis back their daughter’s choice of colleges with complete satisfaction.

“We’re very excited,” commented Chantelle. “She really connected well with Bobby. We feel it’s a great fit.”

Drue further elaborated by saying “I’m thrilled about her choice. I didn’t want to meddle in my daughter’s decision, and I’m thankful how the Lord orchestrated this. It’s a huge decision and it’s so cool how the Lord worked it all out.”

Head Coach Bobby Blanken echoes DeAngelis’ enthusiasm with high hopes for the future Lady Mustang.

“Chloe’s a hard, diligent worker who has great character and is a great fit for our program,” commented Blanken. “She comes from a great family and clicks well with the team. I’m thrilled that she’s joining us.”

Looking ahead, DeAngelis has her sights set on three goals: “Win a national championship, beat GSAC rival Biola, and continue loving volleyball more and more.”

Academically, DeAngelis plans to major in Kinesiology in order to prepare for a hopeful career in the field of athletics.

The Lady Mustangs finished their 2013 campaign with a 23-9 record.  TMC made a strong postseason run before falling to Wayland Baptist in the quarterfinal round of the NAIA Volleyball National Championship tournament.
