You have seen them, and you will will keep seeing them: one liberal political hack after another playing the role for the cameras with their hearts and words bleeding all over the country, feigning their “concern” for shooting victims.

Their messages are hollow, but broadcast makes them feel good. They do get to fool some of the people.

In reality, they are predators. They prey on those who have had their worlds turned upside down and inside out by a senseless murder. Their lives are forever changed. These victims-by-extension are emotionally and psychologically weakened by forced circumstances, and here comes the ilk of the Dianne Feinsteins.

One wave of their message is that if one does not accept their version of gun control, then the opponents do not care about the victims.

The Feinsteins want you to believe that the assault is all about the weapon, while keeping to their liberal-lockstep mantra that the perpetrator, i.e. criminal, must be examined and sympathetically understood as if he didn’t really choose his behavior. After all, there must have been some reason for it; maybe mom had a glass of wine when he was in-utero or dad once told him “no.” Who knows? But lets not punish him too harshly.

The Second Amendment infringers need a few lessons.

One is: “Assault is a behavior, not a device.” That adage is not my brainchild, but it is also a great motto I plan to hail forever. Here is supportive proof of the truth of the words.

It’s ludicrous for the media to title the rape of a woman, child or whomever, an “assault.” Frankly, the term “sexual assault” is still dressing, like putting lipstick on a pig. It’s a sugar coating. It softens where there is nothing sweet or soft about it. Its a pretty word that lends itself more to physical harm. If anyone really believes rape is merely some physical harm, please go educate yourself.

Having said that; if the nation is told to restrict guns – which smart people know is the first step to “ban” – because they are the reason for an “assault” problem, then how do we proceed with the rapists and child molesters? Think about their “weapons.” Personally I don’t have to think past a nano-second how I would deal with these criminals, but I would happily sell tickets to the Dianne Feinstein liberals of the country working on that legislation.

Lesson No. 2 repeats my earlier term, “Second Amendment Infringers.” The Second Amendment quote addressing the right to bear arms is: “…the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The Constitution of the United States does not say, “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed, except for the arms the elected politicians, i.e., the government, say you cannot have. Politicians and select people will be exempt from that list.”

Lesson No. 3. The term “assault weapon” is so misused, it begs for pointing out the magnitude of ignorance of those who use it and want to legislate accordingly. For those of us who live in reality, criminals are not held responsible for their choices and actions severely enough, if at all, and the laws we have are not enforced. Considering the lack of enforcement of existing laws, why would we need or want more?

Now we’re back to showboating hyperbole and myth.

Its a simple lesson: “Assault is a behavior, not a device.”
