There were cries from Democrats after the 2016 election demanding the new Republican domination of the House, Senate and oval office that “we” have to work together.
That demand didn’t last long. The marching orders from top Democrats and the Left are to obstruct Republicans at every corner on every item at all times. New Senate Minority leader, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), started using the word “vetting” to make the ‘obstruction’ more palatable. Don’t fall for it; it’s intentionally designed obstruction, period.
The Washington Post reported recently the Democrat’s strategy is to drag out hearings and hold up putting nominees in place.
“Schumer demands” yes, demands, on behalf of Democrats, that nominees be on some rigid time line of so many hearing per week etc. After making their purposeful stall tactics so clear and public, they have tried to veil the harshness by saying they simply want the ethics vetting to be thorough and complete.
Yes, nominees need to be appropriately vetted, however, considering many of Obama’s nominees; the thought of Democrats being concerned about ethics is duplicitous.
This is the administration and party that put Timothy Geithner in charge of the Treasury Department when he had not paid his own taxes. He joined other Democrats, with IRS issues, like Hilda Solis, whom Obama made Secretary of Labor, and former Senator Tom Daschle, to name a couple more.
Obama’s choice of Attorney General was a man who decided, with obvious support of President Obama, that crimes involving black defendants would not be prosecuted. That ‘s what was declared when the New Black Panther party intimidated voters outside polling places in Philadelphia during the 2008 election, dressed in black leather and holding billy clubs.
At least one DOJ attorney, J. Christian Adams, resigned over it.
This whole stall idea is one more example of the Left not accepting that they have been rejected as evidenced by the 2016 election. Yes, I know, some are shouting that Hillary got 2.8 million more votes but will we ever know how many were illegitimate? That is not limited to non-citizens: it also includes college students voting in two different locations, multiple votes etc. There is also the fact that if the ultra-Liberal California is taken out of the mix, Trump wins by 1.5 million votes.
The efforts continue, from the Left, to undermine, denigrate and de-legitimatize Donald Trump’s valid election.
We saw it again in Hollywood’s “I—Me”, you-cannot-celebrate-me-enough, Golden Globes. Awards show.
“Show” is right.
The hosts got their shots in and Meryl Streep topped it off. Rather than be gracious and mature in accepting an award for her God-given talents as an actress and her obvious blessings, she had to make the anti-conservative speech.
Streep feigned being emotionally affected byTrump’s reported mocking of a disabled reporter. That incident has been debunked by those who say Trump had the same gestures to non-disabled people but the anti-Trump will always take the other side.
That scenario is arguable, at best.
If Streep is really concerned with mocking the mentally or physically disabled, she missed the recent Chicago-gone-wild event of the four black insidious people trapping and beating up a disabled white boy. He was beaten, kicked, had his clothes cut off, had his scalp cut to watch him bleed, and his head stuck in a tile to drink toilet water. Other acts we don’t know yet.
Also, Streep overlooked the campaign of Democrat Wendy Davis against Gregg Abbot for the Texas governorship.
Davis’ camp ran ads depicting Abbott as collecting big money from the accident that paralyzed him and leaving him wheelchair-bound. The despicable group went so repulsively far as to highlight their theme of Stand With Wendy—complete with T-Shirts.
The smart voting public reacted appropriately; Abbott prevailed with 59% to 39%.
Now, back to Streep’s invective; it was very unbecoming as to the purpose of the venue. But then, look who’s doing it.
There is nothing courageous or edgy about speaking in front of the like-minded. That isn’t a challenge. Streep is not brave nor should she be hailed. She does however stamp and underline the super-sensitivity and thin skin of the “creative world”.
This group thought all they had to do was bring out the flashy celebrity full-bore for Hillary and she’d be a shoo-in. There was Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Strep, JayZ, Beyonce, and so on.
It didn’t work. Hollywood was as rejected as Hillary, Obama’s legacy, liberal democrats and other elitists.
That is the true sore spot: the self-absorbed, bubble-residents were cast off, and they are not getting over it.
There is no indication that the Left plans to work together.

Hey, those were exactly the tactics used by the Republicans for the last 4 years. Why is it all right for the Republicans to use such tactics, but not the Democrats? I don’t get it. And BTW, Trump did not wind the popular vote. He lost by 2.8 million. As a supported of democracy and the popular vote, I am discouraged that our country cannot straighten out this problem so that our vote actually means something.
HaHaHaHa, you make me laugh. Work together, like the Repubs worked along with President Obama for 8 years?
Don’t question Trumps links to our ENEMY Russia and how they helped him during the election cycle…not fair! Neither was the Birther in Chief Trump who questioned President Obamas birth certificate and legimacy for years.
You guys are special! HaHaHaHa, can’t stop laughing!
Aw, come on! He didn’t get the popular vote, he didn’t win the electoral college with a landslide, he lacks a confidant, he’s so thin skinned he can’t take criticism, he has to tweet to the world at 5AM. He’s screwed so many people over the only ones he trusts are his kids, his wife Melania’s Communist Party parents are a question, he doesn’t understand American foreign policy…He questioned Obama’s birth certificate, is Cabinet appointments are controversial, he would not release his tax returns. Why not question his business ties to Russia? Why shouldn’t his competence be questioned.
