Many young people, especially those transitioning to independence, could use a helping hand. A meal, supportive role models, and life skills will be offered through a new program from the local nonprofit, Finally Family Homes, beginning Thursday, Oct. 24.
Finally Family Homes serves aged out foster youth and other young adults in need in Santa Clarita.
Life Launch will be a free weekly program, taking place Thursdays, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., at Valencia Hills Community Church in Fusion Room. Beginning with dinner, the meetings will offer young adults a chance to eat, socialize, and engage with experts on topics including handling money, cooking, and helping friends with anxiety.
The meeting schedule will feature the following topics:
● Fueling your body on a budget
● Cooking like a master
● Helping a friend with anxiety
● Protecting your reputation
● Putting your best face forward
● Living large for less
Designed for people aged 17 to 21, the gatherings promise to be fun and informative, with free food and prizes. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP for their spot for dinner.
