A free household hazardous waste and electronic waste roundup is set for the South Parking Lot at College of the Canyons’ Valencia campus on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Open to all Los Angeles County residents, the roundup is for chemicals, sharps, paints and solvents, and e-waste.
There’s a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip.
Bring items in a sturdy box, preferably in their original labeled containers.
No business waste will be accepted, nor will explosives, ammunition, radioactive materials, controlled substances, trash, tires, or large appliances like refrigerators, stoves and washing machines.
Be prepared to leave containers and boxes. Remove all other items from the trunk or bed or your vehicle and place items to be disposed of in the trunk or on the bed. Please remain in your vehicle during collection.
The roundup is brought to you by Los Angeles County and presented by LA County Public Works and the Sanitation Districts of LA County in cooperations with the cities of Santa Clarita, Lancaster and Palmdale.
