1936 - Passenger plane crash in Rice Canyon kills all 12 aboard [story]
victim recovery

There are lots of upcoming ways to get involved at the Canyon Theater Guild.

Auditions for Guys and Dolls

Director Ingrid Boydston is holding auditions for Guys and Dolls on Saturday, March 4th from 10am – 4pm, and Sunday, March 5th from 1pm – 4pm! Auditions will be held in the white studio building at the Canyon Theatre Guild.

CTG is looking for all actors, actresses, singers and dancers who can play early 20s to 80s.

Please note, this is a large cast musical requiring a large chorus and several leading roles, as well as featured and ensemble parts.

Please come prepared to sing 16 bars (about one minute) of a Broadway show tune or any musical. You must have a CD or MP3 device (phone is fine) with a backing or karaoke track. No vocals on the track, please. Wear comfortable clothing for a simple dance audition. Advanced dancers will be asked to demonstrate a more challenging routine.

Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled on weeknights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. through May 27. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal. Please bring your calendar with you and let CTG know in advance any potential conflicts. If you are not sure if we can work with your schedule, audition anyway! We can always try. Performances are scheduled on weekends from May 27 to June 25. Rehearsal conflicts may be acceptable but show conflicts are not. If you can’t be at every performance, I’m afraid this isn’t the show for you.

Considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy, this award-winning, romantic, oddball show takes you from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and back down into the sewers of NYC, with everyone eventually ending up right where they belong. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this wonderful production.

Calling All Volunteers

Be a part of a great team and help us build the fabulous set for the next two CTG productions! Set construction begins this Saturday, March 4th from 10am – 4pm, and Sunday, March 5th from 1pm – 5pm. Set building will continue to take place the next three weekends.

Come for an hour or stay the whole time. We will provide lunch for you on Saturday. See you then.
