Following a nationwide search and extensive interview process, College of the Canyons has selected a candidate to serve as the new Managing Director of the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.
The Santa Clarita Community College District Board of Trustees is scheduled to vote Wednesday on the hiring of longtime arts administrator Lindsay Gambini as the new PAC Managing Director, effective July 6.
Gambini has more than 25 years of experience as an arts administrator, with the majority of that time having been spent working in educational settings.
She currently serves as the Executive Director of Theatre Management and Programming at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. At Kean, Gambini is responsible for programming and managing three theatres while annually producing more than 350 events at the large suburban university.
Gambini also spent seven years as the Director of Arts Programming at Montclair State University in New Jersey. While there she worked to develop and implement a variety of arts programs designed to both augment the institution’s curriculum and serve the needs of the surrounding community.
She also spent 13 years at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center located at Borough of Manhattan Community College, first serving as Managing Director and later Executive Director.
During her career Gambini has produced and presented more than 1,000 artists and companies in all disciplines, including international artists from more than 30 countries.
Gambini holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton, along with a Master of Philosophy in Theatre (City University of New York), a Master of Arts in Theatre (Hunter College, City University of New York) and a Master of Arts in Performing Arts Administration (New York University).
