College of the Canyons will hold two ‘Information Night’ sessions for all high school seniors and their parents on Tuesday, Jan. 12, and Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Both ‘Information Night’ sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.
In addition, the same information will be delivered in Spanish during a presentation being held in the Student Center cafeteria at the same time.
The ‘Information Night’ events are designed to provide prospective students and their families with information regarding the many educational opportunities available at the college.
Each night attendees will learn about the college’s application and admission process and how to earn priority registration, as well as other key student support services offered by the college.
Attendees will also receive information regarding associate degrees, academic certificate programs and transfer preparation needed to eventually enroll at a four-year university.
“These events will showcase the wide range of educational opportunities, programs and academic pathways that some students and parents might not realize are available to them,” said Kari Soffa, director of outreach and school relations at the college. “Hopefully by the end of the presentation attendees will be equipped with the information they need to begin their College of the Canyons experience.”
Parking in all COC student parking lots will be free for both events.
