When tragedy strikes, particularly among our first responders, calls flood Providence Holy Cross Medical Center from people who want to help. Responding to that demand, Providence Health & Services Blood Center will hold a blood drive Thursday and Friday to replenish supplies at Providence medical centers in the Los Angeles Area, including Providence Holy Cross and its highly-respected Trauma Center. Los Angeles Firefighter Timothy Larsen is recovering from injuries suffered in a explosion at a Sylmar industrial building. His colleagues have asked to donate blood in his name, and the public also is welcome to join this drive and give the Gift of Life.
