Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in Placerita Canyon Monday morning, according to a spokesperson from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies responded to the Placerita Canyon-Sand Canyon area this morning,” said Shirley Miller, SCV Sheriff’s Station public information officer.
“There were reports of gunfire,” Miller said. “There was a husband and wife in their vehicle and the adult male was deceased. The female had no injuries.”
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 a.m., she said.
“Homicide is investigating the incident to determine whether it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Miller said. “It’s their job to follow it from here.”
Homicide Det. Donna Cheek has been assigned the case involving a man who died of a gunshot wound, according to Miller.
Calls to Det. Cheek were not returned at press time.
This is an ongoing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Population growth in a lawless and Godless Libtard State. Statistics…
SCV is way overpopulated, they see an open acre and immediately develop it…ridiculous.
Sounds domestic- which happens everywhere. It has nothing to do with how good or bad we are here.
