Saturday’s livestream broadcast can be accessed here.
In addition, all veterans and military personnel — active duty, reserve duty, retired — who appear in uniform or present a valid form of identification will be admitted to the game free of charge.
Fans will also be treated to a special Veterans Day half time performance provided by the California Flyers All Stars youth cheerleading organization.
General admission tickets are $5. Kids 10 and under are free.
Canyons (7-2, 3-1) will enter as the No. 11 ranked team in the state, according to the most recent California Community College Football Poll, as compiled by the J.C. Athletic Bureau. The Cougars are also ranked No. 7 in the California Community Colleges Football Coaches Association regional poll, which is used to determine playoff seeding.
Meanwhile, Bakersfield (7-2, 3-1) is ranked No. 10 by the J.C. Athletic Bureau, and tied with Mt. SAC for the No. 5 spot in the coaches poll. A full list of rankings can be found here.
The Cougars will face the Renegades on the heels of a 48-7 road win over Santa Monica College last Saturday. COC finished the game with 534 yards of total offense while limiting the Corsairs to a season-low seven points.
Canyons quarterback Andrew Brito finished the game 17-of-26 for 285 yards and two touchdowns while connecting with eight different receivers in the game. Desean Holmes was COC’s leading pass catcher with 120 yards and a touchdown on five catches. Jalen Logan led the COC rushing attack with 52 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
Bakersfield was defeated 48-38 by Ventura College last week. Renegades quarterback Brandon Jones led the team in rushing with 53 yards on nine carries, and finished the game 20-of-37 for 210 yards and a touchdown through the air. Running backs Elisha Ortiz, La Meshio Hill and Cameron Roberson each scored for the Renegades.
Last season, Canyons was able to defeat Bakersfield on its home turf by a 14-10 margin. The Cougars have won six straight vs. the Renegades, including a pair of Bakersfield forfeits in both the 2012 and 2011 seasons. Bakersfield last defeated COC during the 2010 season.
