The Painted Turtle’s North Los Angeles Regional Advisory Board will present a “Hoedown BBQ” fundraiser to benefit the nonprofit organization on Saturday, October 28 starting at 3:30 p.m.

Cocktails and tours begin at 3:30 and dinner will be served at 5.

Along with savory BBQ, the event features music by The Hit Machine as well as silent and live auctions.

General admission is $125, for ages 21 and older.

Children with serious medical conditions celebrate just being kids at The Painted Turtle’s camp, located just north of the Santa Clarita Valley at 17000 Elizabeth Lake Road in Lake Hughes 93532. Click here for a map and directions.

Through innovative, camp-based programs that offer a great big dose of fun and support, children with more than 73 medical conditions visit The Painted Turtle each year, reclaiming the joys of childhood.

A member of Paul Newman’s renowned SeriousFun Camps (formerly the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps), The Painted Turtle has served more than 49,000 children and their families through its Summer and Family Weekend camps since it opened its gates in 2004.
