The city of Santa Clarita’s summer 2017 Road Rehab Project is near completion, as crews work on McBean Parkway now through September 1.
The streets in Santa Clarita listed below are set for the city’s from today to September 1.
Almost 44 miles of city streets have been resurfaced! The city deeply appreciates residents’ cooperation through this process!
In an effort to minimize interference to traffic flow through the city, some construction on major arterial roads will take place at night, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Contractors will be monitoring noise level to ensure local neighborhoods are not disrupted.
For work done during the day on streets near schools, construction will take place between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Contactors are also coordinating with each school to ensure bell schedules and school bus routes are not interrupted.
From now through September 1, the city’s road rehab efforts focus on McBean Parkway, from West Del Monte Drive to Ave Navarre.
Digouts: August 24-September 1 (Night Work)

They should also repair McBean Parkway from Cal Arts west to the bridge that goes over the 5 fwy. It’s like nobody takes care of that section. Full of pot holes, misc patches, etc. On the west side of the bridge, the county has kept the Stevenson Ranch side in good condition. It would be nice to see the city of Santa Clarita would take care of their side of the bridge.
