1962 - Articles of incorporation filed for Golden State Memorial Hospital on Lyons Avenue [story]
Golden State Hospital

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a 24-year-old man and his 20-year-old companion, both from Saugus, on multiple charges early Friday.

Here’s the story as reported on the station’s Facebook page:

If deputies are not responding to calls for service, they are patrolling around neighborhoods and businesses, watching for any signs of suspicious activity.

Take for instance, last Friday. Deputies were patrolling parking lots of businesses in the early morning hours near The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch. They pulled into a parking lot of a closed business and noticed a U-Haul truck driving around.

Since it was 2 a.m., deputies made contact with the driver. The 24-year-old man, identified as Justin Williams of Saugus, was found to be on parole for felony burglary.

Deputies also discovered Williams was driving on a suspended license, and found various items inside the vehicle, including items commonly associated with robbery.

The deputies arrested Williams and his passenger, Deanna Newman, age 20, of Saugus, for various charges including alteration of an imitation firearm, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, possession of burglary tools and suspicion of robbery.

They were both booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station. Williams’ parole officer was notified of the parole violation.

If anyone has any information about this incident, please call the SCV Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121 ext. 5146 or submit tips through LACrimeStoppers.org at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

  4. Brown says:

@ Travis Levi and William Reel, what arrogant pompous people you two are. I moved to CC from an affluent neighborhood, where all homes are 2 million and above, the people there were nice and didn’t need to put other people or Cities down to feel better about themselves. It is a trait of true affluence it seems.

    • Travis Levy says:

Brown : Or it could just be a joke. You must be new to these parts due to C/C has always been the butt of every joke. Kind of like who ever called in sick to work and gets blamed that day for what ever mishaps took place. But then again if I lived in a 2 million dollar area to then move to C/C I guess id be sensitive on the subject as well.

Dope money and guns! Three food groups ?
