The Battle for Celebrity Chef of Santa Clarita Valley will be waged again, rematching three of the Valley’s most prestigious chefs. Esteemed epicurean judges will sample the delicious production of defending champion Daniel Otto of TPC, who will seek to once again hold off the amazing skills of Robinson Ranch’s Efren Gonzalez and Rolf Rothen of the Hyatt Valencia Vines Restaurant.

How can the gastronomes of SCV partake of these tasty delights? By becoming a sponsor of the Wine Affair, presented by Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley. The title sponsors are Cheri and Don Fleming of Valencia Acura.

Other sponsors so far who plan to enjoy this fabulous VIP evening include: Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Atkins Environmental, Borders7, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, and Yoga Works. There’s still room at the table, so make your sponsorship reservations ASAP, as it’s limited to 100 guests.

This VIP Reception for Sponsors will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011. “We are giving our chefs an even more challenging event this year” said Event Chair Jo Ann Vindigni. “There will be a secret ingredient… how will these great chefs pair it with the delicious library wines being poured by Robert Schwartz, John Geraci, and Steven Elzer?”

Sponsors also receive tickets to The 4th Annual Wine Affair … “Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds” which will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., along Town Center Drive and The Patios in the Westfield Town Center in Valencia.

Restaurants, retailers and wine stores on Town Center Drive and The Patios will be participating, including: The Vines at the Hyatt, Salt Creek Grille, Valencia Wine Company, La Via Bella, Pottery Barn, White House Black Market, J. David Clothiers, RoMa Jewelers, Roman Holiday and William Sonoma. Each venue features wine, food, and musical entertainment.

A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center, and the new HMNMH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Wine Affair Tickets are available: $40 in advance; $50 after October 9th. This event is limited to participants ages 21 and over. Tickets and sponsorships are available on-line at www.thewineaffair.org. For more information, contact Jo Ann Vindigni at 661-313-9119, email jpv1jo(at)aol.com.
