Six times last season, The Master’s University men’s soccer team received votes in the NAIA’s top 25 poll.
Never, did the Mustangs break through into the rankings.
Tuesday, after running out to a 7-1-2 start overall and 2-0 start in the Golden State Athletic Conference, Master’s came in at No. 25 in the weekly coaches’ poll.
It marked the program’s first appearance since November 2015.
It also came on the heels of midfielder Benjamin Tembo being named the GSAC’s Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Mustang Casey Phillips was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week on the same day.
