Four individuals, including two College of the Canyons administrators, have been selected as finalists for the position of Cuesta College superintendent/president.
On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the finalists, including Dr. Jerry Buckley, assistant superintendent/vice-president of Academic Affairs for College of the Canyons and COC Deputy Chancellor Dr. Barry Gibbons, answered questions from faculty, staff, and the public at an open forum at the San Luis Obispo campus. The public, media, and Cuesta College employees were invited to participate.

The two remaining candidates are Dr. Jill Stearns from Modesto Junior College and
Dr. Georgia Lorenz from Santa Monica College.
The Cuesta College Board of Trustees interviewed the four finalists at a closed session meeting on March 1.
The Board of Trustees will announce its selection at a future open session Board meeting. The new superintendent/president is set to begin on July 1, 2018.
