The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Prevention Unit teamed up with J-Team deputies and a Los Angeles County Probation officer Wednesday morning for probation searches and found two probationers in violation.
Here’s more of the story from the station’s social media:
“As part of the ongoing efforts in making sure that probationers residing in (the) Santa Clarita Valley are keeping to their terms of probation, Crime Prevention deputies selected four locations — this time in Valencia.
“At two of the locations checked, probationers were found to be in violation. One probationer was found to have moved and had not updated his address with the probation department, and another probationer was found to have narcotics and a weapon in his residence.
“That probationer was not at home at the time, but deputies were able to track him down to a Saugus park where he was taken into custody without incident.
“We will continue doing these probation checks as time allows. Probationers need to know that they will be held accountable for their actions. Otherwise, that freedom they are enjoying can be quickly taken away.”
