The inaugural Santa Clarita Valley Book Festival at College of the Canyons will be held Saturday, June 8, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
Under the theme “Bringing the Family and Community Back to Reading”, the inaugural SCV Book Festival seeks to unite authors, publishers and book enthusiasts, fostering a more profound connection within the Santa Clarita Valley.
This one-day event is free and open to the public, promising a treasure trove of unique literary works and projects to inspire and motivate attendees.
Volunteers are being sought to help produce a successful event by providing excellent customer service, assisting book authors and helping with set-up and tear-down of the event.
Date/Times: Saturday, June 8 various 2-3 hour shifts between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Set-Up Shift – 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Event Shift 1 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Event Shift 2 – 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tear-Down Shift – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Age: 18 years and older.
Desired Skills/Requirements:
– Friendly and helpful individuals.
– Must be comfortable with crowds and a fast-paced environment.
