nudie5Jamie Nudie is proud to announce that legendary Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors and Nudie’s Custom Java will open their doors to the public once more on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 in old town Newhall. The Grand Opening Celebration is slated for Saturday, Oct. 3.

Now you can order a great cup of custom coffee, tantalizing meal, AND a custom made Nudie Suit all in one convenient location, right across from the Metrolink railway station in the scenic Santa Clarita Valley.

Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors was opened by Nudie Cohn in 1947 and invented the Rhinestone Cowboy, hence the slogan “Embellishing the West since 1947.” A pot of coffee was always on as legendary stars of stage and screen would drop in to get custom fitted for an iconic Nudie Suit, browse the retail selection, or simply visit with the Nudie family.

Jamie Nudie grew up the shop, and learned her skills brewing the best java in town and tending to the star studded clientele.

nudie4“I was taught to treat everyone with the same hospitality whether it was John Wayne or a struggling actor, musician, or customer off the street looking for a little sparkle and style in their life. It was wonderful to see people like Clint Eastwood, and Elton John become big stars, but everyone was equal and welcome.”

Elvis Presley, Gram Parsons, Sly Stone, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Buck Owens, Porter Wagoner and just about every performer you can imagine came to Nudie’s for their signature style, and folks still seek out Nudie sparkle and style to set them apart.

nudie2The shop will encompass the whole history of Nudie’s and include rare memorabilia, and a wall of famous photos that adorned the original store. There will be racks of glittering Nudie Suits for sale as well as the opportunity to order a new custom made Nudie Suits to your specifications.

Home to the cowboy festival, Western Walk of Stars, and William S. Hart ranch and museum, old town Newhall is brimming with western lifestyle and cowboy spirit.

“This is such an incredible fit and honor to keep Nudie’s alive in a town that revers and celebrates its Western heritage. I can hardly wait to drive the Nudie Mobile, park it outside Nudie’s Custom Java and open the doors to Nudie friends and fans the world over.”
