The Santa Clarita Artists Association is seeking artists for its Pop Up Anything Goes Art Show, back by popular demand, weekends, Aug. 1-3 and 8-10.
SCAA is seeking four artists per weekend, ready to host with work ready to hang. There is a open theme this month. Please see event information and requirements below.
Space is limited; first come, first serve.
Must commit, pay show fee upon entry which will be collected at the gallery.
$15 for one weekend, $25 for two weekends.
This is non-refundable.
Standard 25% commission to SCAA.
Artist curates/hangs their own wall space (Gallery Committee can assist with securing)
Artist provides own wall tags. Must be typed and include name, title, medium, price, template is available.
Spacing for tabletop art, cards, art rack, and gift items to be determined during installation and divided/shared by all participating artists, not to be moved please.
Artist agrees to host as needed to cover open gallery hours.
Walls above glass shelves will be divided into four artist spaces, first come, first serve.
Each artist’s space is approximately. 11′ width x 48” height, must not hang into within 13” of glass shelves, infringe on tabletop art, or go into neighboring artist’s space.
Some spaces may have extra width or length due to location, windows/doors/AC unit, or proximity to glass shelving, please be flexible and understanding.
Name plaque to be provided for top of wall space for each artist.
All art must be installed by Thursday, installation and drop-off dates to be determined.
Artwork should be original by the artist submitting, suitable for all ages and should not contain profanity, nudity, or divisive themes or infringe on the copyrights of third parties. AI in any form will not be considered.
The event will be held at the SCAA Gallery, 22508 6th St., in Old Town Newhall, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.
