Officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner have identified the body of a man who was found in a Canyon Country field Monday night.
“He’s been identified as Javier Urueta,” said Larry Dietz, watch commander for the Coroner’s Office. “He was 56-years-old and we don’t have a city residence, yet.”
Dietz said if they can’t confirm a city residence, it’s safe to assume the man was a transient.
Deputies found Urueta’s body at approximately 9:00 p.m., said Shirley Miller, public information officer for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Around 9:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Santa Clara wash at Soledad Canyon Road, near Langside Avenue,” Miller said. “The body was found in a field area.”
Vanessa Lozano, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, said the call came in as a cardiac arrest.
“There is little information we have on the incident,” Lozano said. “He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
While his death is being investigated, officials don’t believe foul play is involved.

I am so out of California the second l can retire.
I think people will have heart attacks anywhere you might go, but best of luck. Hope it’s soon.
So, so sorry, so, so sad. RIP Mr. Urueta. ??
That is the second body found in that area in the last couple of months. Maybe dying elsewhere and dumped there? Just wondering.
