Five Girl Scouts of the Santa Clarita Valley are going to be honored, along with dozens of other girls, at the 2016 ToGetHerThere Luncheon next week.
More than 600 of Los Angeles most influential executives and key business leaders will gather at this year’s luncheon.
Honorees from the Santa Clarita Valley include Erin Nahas, of Castaic; Delenn Ganyo, of Santa Clarita; Damara Ganyo, of Santa Clarita; Brittany Waugh, of Stevenson Ranch; and Nicole Benz, of Valencia.
Hosted by Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA), the event applauds strides made in supporting girls and women, while examining the many obstacles today’s girls still face.
GSGLA will celebrate the leadership of Girl Scout alumna and 2016 ToGetHerThere Champion Karen Ideno, vice president of product and marketing for Toyota Financial Services, as well as honor Girl Scouts’ 100 Emerging Leaders — exemplary Girl Scouts who are poised to become tomorrow’s decision makers.
Lise Luttgens, CEO, GSGLA, will speak on the state of girls and women, showcasing how Girl Scouts is leading the way in transforming the leadership landscape in Greater Los Angeles and beyond. In the morning, the high school Emerging Leader Girl Scouts will have the unique opportunity to be mentored by LA women executives, many of whom are former Girl Scouts themselves.
The event will take place on Monday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the JW Marriott L.A. Live, 900 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015.
