The Santa Clarita Artists Associations Gallery will showcase its first art show of 2024, “661 Local,” from Jan. 19 to Feb. 18.
An opening reception will be held Jan. 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.
“661 Local” is an art show where gallery guests will take a tour through Santa Clarita and surrounding 661 areas, loving all things local.
“With so much rich history, diverse landscape and bustling activity, there is bound to be something for everyone. See the 661 through our artists’ eyes. All art will be for sale throughout the entire show,” said Tobi Beck, 2024 SCAA Gallery Chair and artist.
To further celebrate the theme, “661 Local,” the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market will be at the opening reception on Jan. 20 serving samples from some of the local market vendors and farmers.
Also available will be donations of Irish beer by Maginn’s Pub, Pulchella Winery’s Distinguished Blend wine and churros from XRO: Fresh Churro Bar.
“Come meet the artists, too. In addition, the gallery is a great place to stop before or after a show at the Canyon Theatre Guild or The MAIN. We knew there was no better way to kick off the year than starting right here and celebrating home,” said Qiana Tarlow, 2024 SCAA Gallery Co-Chair and artist.
The SCAA gallery is located at 22508 Sixth St., Old Town Newhall, CA 91321.
Show hours: Fridays 5-8 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
