The Los Angeles County Department of Military & Veterans Affairs will host the 2nd Annual Veterans Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner for active military, veterans and their families and homeless vets at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be two servings — the first at 3 p.m. and the second at 5 p.m.

The LA Chargers and their cheerleaders will be on hand to serve dinner to the vets, sign autographs and take photos. This year, we flip the script and will have dignitaries, legislators and civilians serve those who’ve served the United States in defense of our liberty and freedom.

John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of Paul Mitchell and Patron, and current chairman of ROK Group and former homeless veteran, will be personally distributing 200 cell phones to homeless veterans.

“Nationally, there are nearly 38,000 homeless veterans who sleep on the streets or in their cars every night,” said General Ruth Wong, United States Air Force (Ret), LA County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Director. “The County of Los Angeles and our partners are working furiously to affect change, one veteran’s life at a time…and we are doing it.”

Several Veteran Service Organizations and corporate leaders will be in attendance, serving our veterans with commitment, compassion and respect.
