The American Diabetes Association, Los Angeles will host a “Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes” event at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor in Valencia Saturday, Nov. 4, starting at 8 a.m.
Today, there are nearly 30 million Americans who have diabetes. Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes is the American Diabetes Association’s signature fundraising walk, with 95 walks scheduled across the country.
Every dollar raised through Step Out plays an important role in supporting the Association’s mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
The Magic Mountain-Hurrican Harbor walk will traverse through the picturesque theme parks prior to their opening to the public that day, and features a festival following the walk. Organizers expect hundreds of people to participate.
Registration will open at 7 a.m. and the walk will begin at 8:30.
Admission is free. Participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive an event t-shirt and a free ticket to Six Flags Magic Mountain to be used the same day.
