Soroptimist International of Valencia announces its “Dream It, Be It” program will launch Nov. 22, at Castaic Middle School.
“This is an historical event for Soroptimists,” said Program Chair Lisa Kocicka. “While we have been presenting this program for three years, this year, for the very first time, we are offering our program at the middle school/junior high school level. We are beyond excited to present this workshop to the young women of Castaic Middle School.”
Designed specifically for girls in secondary school, Dream It, Be It provides participants with career support and guidance. Through education and access to role models, the program aims to empower girls to pursue career goals and reach their full potential.
During the assembly, girls will learn about career opportunities, achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success, balancing stress and putting dreams into action. They will have the opportunity to work closely with local volunteers who are professional and respected women in the community, working collaboratively to lead the girls through activities that will help them develop skills relevant to whatever career they choose to pursue.
“Castaic Middle School is excited to have Soroptimist International of Valencia provide our 8th grade female students with the Dream It, Be It workshop,” said Bob Brauneisen, Principal, Castaic Middle School. “We look forward to providing our students with the information and support that will empower them to become strong and successful women.”
