“Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds” at the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s 4th Annual Wine Affair. The event will be Sunday, Oct. 16 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Valencia Town Center and the Patios.

Restaurants, retailers and wine stores will serve as hosts. Each venue features wine tasting, food, and musical entertainment. Confirmed participants include: Vines at the Hyatt, Salt Creek Grille, Valencia Wine Company, J. Davids, La Via Bella, Pottery Barn, White House Black Market, Roman Holiday and Williams- Sonoma.

Title Sponsors of the event are Cheri and Don Fleming of Valencia Acura. Sponsorships are still available. Sponsors include: Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Atkins Environmental, SCV Bank, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, Border 7 Studios, The Magazine of SCV and Yoga Works.

Jo Ann Vindigni is this year’s event chair and her committee chairs include Valerie Chase, Kathy Chester, Kerri Emmer, Darlene Gandara, Shelley Hann, Rebecca Johnston, Vanessa Wilk, and Dora Zavala, along with SIGSCV President Sue Reynolds.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center, and to the new HMNMH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. SIGSCV has donated over $17,500 to the Sheila R. Veloz Foundation and $8,500 to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit through proceeds from this event.

Tickets are $40 in advance; $50 after October 9th and participants must be at least 21 years of age. Tickets will be sold on-line at www.thewineaffair.org, or may be purchased by sending a check to SIGSCV, Attention: The Wine Affair, P.O. Box 801352, Santa Clarita, CA 91380-1350.
